EXPEDITION IN NEPAL

The 800km stretch of the Nepal Himalaya is the greatest in the world with eight peaks that rise above 8,000m including the highest in the world,

Mt. Everest Ever since the country opened its peaks to climbers in 1949, the Nepal Himalaya has become a great theater of mountaineering activity and the drama of success and failure have provided impetus to thousands of men and women to meet the ultimate challenge. The Nepal Himalaya has been an attraction to many people, be they saints, philosophers, researchers or adventurers.

Most of the mountaineers have their dream to reach the summit of Everest in their life time. For many who are mainly trekkers become contended having the good view of it from Kalapatthar, Gokyo Ri or visiting Everest base camp.


Mt. Nuptse 54 days
Nuptse is situated in the Khumbu Himal just southwest of Mount Everest. The name Nup-tse is Tibetan and means west - peak, as it is the western part of the Lhotse-Nuptse-massif.
Mt. Lhotse 55 days
Lhotse is the fourth highest mountain in the world. Its long east-west crest is located immediately south of Mount Everest, and the summits of the two mountains are connected by the South Col, a vertical ridge that never drops below 8,000 meters.
Mt. Annapurna (I) 59 days
Annapurna is an enormous Himalayan massif, the tenth highest mountain in the world. In 1950, it became the first 8,000 meter mountain to be successfully climbed.
Mt. Dhaulagiri (I) 61 days
Dhaulagiri is one of the most popular 8000m. peaks for climbing in Nepal. Normally, four camps will be set up for the climbing. Advance base camp will be set up at 5,300m.
Mt. Kanchenjunga 69 days
Kanchanjunga situated at 8598m, is the third-highest peak in the world and the second-highest in Nepal. It was first climbed by a British team in 1956.
Mt. Amadablam 33 days
Amadablam, one of the most beautiful mountains in the world, is a technical mountain for climbing. Although the height is only 6812m it requires steep ice, rock and snow climbing.
Mt. Pumari 36 days
Pumori is the most popular mountains for those who whish to climb 7000m peaks in Nepal. It requires a moderate technical climb with ice and snow. Normally, two camps are set in the approach above the base camp.

The Snow Saddle - is another beautiful mountain which rises majestically to a saddle shaped summit from Khumbu and Hinku valley and sits next to another prominent mountain Thamserku to the north.
Mt. Baruntse 39 days
Baruntse is one of the beautiful 7,000m peaks in Nepal. It is also one of the few peaks of this height with a high rate of success of ascent on normal route.
Mt. Teng Khangpoche 40 days
Teng Kangpoche, also called Thyangmoche, is located on the ridge west of Kwangde Ri, south of Thami Valley. There are no recorded ascents.
Mt. Nurmi 45 days
Numri is located North-West from Baruntse and clearly visible on the trail to Island Peak base camp. It is a difficult expedition peak, at our knowledge, only climbed once.

Pasang Lhamu Chuli 48 days
Pasang Lhamu Chuli is one of the recently opened new peaks for foreign expedition. The peak is about 5 km west – south of Cho Oyu and raises to the height of 7,350m.

I happened to look many times at this mountain and was surprised of its incredible beauty. It in fact looks as a majestic white triangle hidden behind Island Peak (Imja Tse).
Mt. Manaslu 68 days
Manaslu is one of the popular 8000m. peaks for climbing in Nepal. Possible avalanches in bad weather, crevasses and slippery snow make this mountain a little distinct from other mountains in Nepal.
Mt. Makalu 69 days
Makalu is the fifth highest mountain in the world and is considered the technical mountain to climb. Normally, four camps are set up in the approach excluding ABC which will be set up at 5,300m.
